Units at Camp

Our campers make friendships for life.

Skill building activities as well as Interactive and creative Jewish programming are key elements of the Anaf session. Bar and Bat Mitzvah tutoring is available during this session at no extra charge upon request.

Grades 7-8

Galil גליל / Senior Side

The Tzameret program session brings the Camp experience to a whole new level! With more input into how they spend their time, Tzameret campers have the opportunity to make their Camp experience truly unique and exciting. The interactive, creative program allows them to ask questions and explore their own identity, while building their commitment to tikkun olam (repairing the world) and tzedakah (justice). All Tzameret campers enjoy an overnight campout.

Tzameret campers and staff live in a section of camp called Galil; a 5-7 minute walk from the main camping grounds.

Grades 9

Machon Alef מכון א / Junior CITs

The Machon Alef program helps campers begin the transition into staff, helping them develop a deeper sense of pride and responsibility for Machaneh Massad. The program offers its own schedule, separate from the rest of camp, while allowing the campers to participate in fun and meaningful volunteer opportunities and initiatives while enjoying everything the camp has to offer.

Grades 10

Malam מלם / Senior CITs

Malam is about staff training and our highly-acclaimed counsellor-in-training and leadership program is designed to do just that. As Malamniks, teens are given the tools and opportunities to challenge themselves, inspire their peers, and earn the love and admiration of their campers. The program offers a balance of camper experiences and counsellor experiences, as participants are guided through this important transition, they gain the skills needed to become future Jewish role models and leaders. To promote a close-knit team, the Malamniks live together in their own cabins and spend four days on an outdoor adventure at Mt. Tremblant National Park.

The Machon L’Madrichim program is truly a hands-on training experience, as the participants plan programs, lead services, create activities and share in the responsibility of taking care of campers. As Malamniks, these teens learn to look at leadership and life through a Jewish lens. For many, this is the unit which is the most anticipated and the hardest to leave behind.
