It is with great sadness that we share with you the unfortunate news that the Gouvernment du Québec announced yesterday that sleep away summer camps will not be permitted to operate for the 2020 session due to the ongoing health crisis from COVID-19.
Like all of you, we cannot fathom the idea of a summer without the buses pulling in onto the Mifgash, without Mifkad, without our infectious ruach permeating through the Chadar, without jumping into the Agam, without Havdallah, without Maccabia.
However, our leadership team and staff are continuously committed to finding ways to connect to camp, to each other and to keep our community thriving throughout the summer.
In order to best support our community at this time, we will be holding a Zoom session for our entire Massad mishpacha this evening (Friday, May 22) at 5:30pm so that we can bring in this Shabbat together and share in our confounded feelings through virtual hugs and support. In order to ensure online safety, we ask that you please register in advance for this event by following the link below:
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
As we grieve the loss of Machane Massad Kayitz 2020, we are already counting down the days to Kayitz 2021. Keeping you in our hearts until we can finally be together in person.
